Some people, in their approach to legality and morality, can understand that laws are flawed, but instead of taking all of them critically before accepting, choose to err on the side of the biggest restriction. They can comprehend that age of consent 12 is not good, even though legal in some places, but the law that criminalizes lolis is good, and meanwhile it's not like they even have anything to say against lolis except for "but illegal!". So they make legality their main argument why something is bad, then use the fact that the law punishes that "bad" thing as the argument that the law is good. Absurd, and disappointing from someone who can see flaws of other legal issues.
